Introduction

You have arrived at the Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS) of the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT). ATIS serves NYC residents by helping them get quickly through their everyday commute.

Click on the borough of your choice to see the Web Cams (still images) and Streaming Video sites available.

Streaming video requires the use of the Real Player plug-in for your browser. Video streaming requires fast connections and may take a significant amount of time to download to your computer.

At times, when demand is high, some streams may not be available. In such instances, the visitor will receive a still camera image instead. If you cannot receive a stream now please try again later.

*Real Player 8 is necessary to access streaming video. If you don't have Real Player, you may download it free, below.

You will be able to access each Video Stream for a maximum of three minutes, for a total of 20 minutes of every hour.Thereafter you will be able to access still Web Cam images only.

We hope you find this page useful and invite you to fill out our brief survey about your experience with the ATIS Web site.

The Department of Transportation wishes to thank Metromedia Fiber Network, Inc.
for providing a fiber line to transmit the video.
